Fun Night?

Yes.

Go to the Social Club.
There's a open bar until 12:30! I mean who does that? They do. (It might have just been for their 1 year anniversary, so check the myspace to be sure) So get there at 10:45 or 11, stand outside for maybe 30 to 45 min depending on how crowded it is, get free drinks (go to each barman at least once), and stay until whenever. It was awesome. If you want to increase the awesomeness, bike there...and wear a pink new york nicks hat...and wear a flannel shirt...and don't forget your diamonds. The girls will go crazy if you combine this awesomeness and you do the snap dance really well and make it work to some fun electro jams.
To be frank, most everyone there was just cooler than the people in other french clubs. They were more chill when they needed to be, more excited when they shoulda been, and they dressed like me, which was a style i didn't think existed in paris. oh, but it does.

Because every dj that I got to hear all the way through finished with some dubstep, I will direct you to a post i did way back in october when i was new at this thing I will repost the song that has a now non-working link.

Relax & Take Notes ft. Project Pat & The Notorious B.I.G. - 8 Ball & MJG

That's all well and good, but I really think you should listen to this one. It's a tight mix done by Ooah of the Glitch Mob. It's Exceptional for something so minimalistic. So without further ado:

Heat Up The Night - Ooah

Tomorrow I have some more La Chansons stuff that I'll put up. I've fallen in love with their sassy 80's pop.

Do the motorcycle...Can you ride??

Maine! I found a club that is going to hopefully provide the best club night I've ever had. I'll post on Saturday with my judgment, but tomorrow should be fun!
And in light of the fun that I will most likely be having here, I will post a song that is remixed very similarly on a group-that-is-going-to-be-playing-there's myspace. (Btw I Love the english language because I can do stuff like hyphenate 8 words and have it be both completely understood and gramatically incorrect at the same time.)

Show Out (Lil Prince Crunk Remix) - DJ UNK

And because I know not everyone likes a damn jam to get down to, you will also love this. It's by a group called La Chansons (which is French for A Song for everyone that doesn't speak this beautiful language (I guess that would include me as well)) They are pretty mellow, pretty funny, and a cute married couple if that wasn't enough.

You Put The Moves In Me - La Chansons

Here's a really awesomely retarded video they did. Listen to those Synths and all your problems will melt away. Scope the copy and paste job at 3:24

Me Love You Long Time

I haven't posted in a long time. Sorry.

I have actually laid down some recordings of the STWMTGBIAC mix. I did a test run all the way through and (needless to say) it was horrible. It was about...45 minutes i think. I'm just going to work by every 5 songs cause that is the only thing that makes sense since Virtual DJ is one of the worst things ever. Worst is better than nothing, yes, but that doesn't make it good or easy to be professional-sounding with. I got the intro (first 5 songs done in about an hour and a half tonight so I figure if I can do at worst that for all the other 6 segments, it'll be done in no time. So stay alert, it might drop hard on yall.

For the time being, I think these songs are really good, so since it's been so long, I'll post a few in a mellow to crunk order:

I Have A Vision ft. Erin Martin (Fred Falke Remix) - Roy Davis Jr.
(right click on that one. it's an mp3)

Sex And Candy (Marcy Playground Cover) - La Chansons

Dawn Of The Dead (Station X Remix) - Does It Offend You, Yeah?

Can't Belive It ft. Lil Wayne (Gods of Fashion Remix) - T-Pain
٭

Disco Sirens (Blacklight Flashlight Remix) - Midfield General

What Happened To That Boy (Howard Who vs Clipse Remix)
- Howard Who

Pedrophilia - Busy P
٭

I put little signs next to the songs that, if you are low on computer space or time, you should dl. Just remember everything's good, otherwise I wouldn't post it.
Hope everyone enjoys the music.

It's Coming Down, It's Coming Down

So it's sleeting in Paris. After a yesterday of cold but sunny weather, it just seems right to have a day of complete miserable weather. Added on top of that is the fact that I just ate way too much at a restaurant called Breakfast In America and I feel like getting sick thanks to the encompassing smell of paint thinner that has crept into my room from the guy working a floor down redoing the walls. I think i'm getting high and sick from smelling that shit. Horrible. I put a few scarves around the hallway door to block the smell from coming in but it's still lingering even after i opened the window for a few minutes. I woke up in such a good mood too...

I may have already posted a hundred times about Thrice, but I feel like I need to again... Air has become a daily listen. If you have a college email, you can get Ruckus (which is a completely free music player) and download all the 4 elements. Here's the link for Ruckus which I would highly recommend checking out (unless you have a mac that doesn't have the windows switch as it requires windows to work). Just sign up and it's free. And while you're at it get the
Alchemy Index 1 & 2 (Fire and Water)
Alchemy Index 3 & 4 (Air and Earth)

since that was really the whole point of this post anyway.
I would recommend listening to at least each element all the way through with the lyrics if you can't make it through all 4 in one go (which is pretty epic; i did it a while ago)

Here's Come All You Weary (off Earth) live. I like the recorded one better but it's still pretty good.

ps. the reason for the season has some news for you: here we go, hold on tight and don't let go, I won't ever let you fall...

La Ville De Merde.

Today I went to a skatepark way the hell out in Magny-les-Hameaux to check it out. I left here at 1 and didn't get there until 3:00 probably. I had to take the Rer B to the end of the line at Saint-Rémy-les-Chevreuse. So far. I then proceeded to walk for 45 minutes to an hour up a massive hill and through 3 small towns to get to it. Of course when I got there it was completely wet from the constant sprinkle that started at 3. Awesome. It would have been a cool park but it's so far and it was raining so it ended up being the epidomy of an epic and mostly pointless adventure. I stayed at the park until about 3:45 or 4 and then made my way back down to the metro. However, because it was way up on a hill, I bombed the route that I had taken to get up there. The cars behind me weren't too happy cause I was probably only going 30 mph but let me tell you, that was the most insane hill I've ever been down. I don't get speed wobbles, but I got speed wobbles...

I had the opportunity to listen to about 6 hours of music though and that fact alone made the trip more interesting and nearly worth it. So since I stumbled across (by way of putting the IPod on shuffle) a song again today I would like to post it in dedication to my homie RP. I know this christmas is probably going to be tough. I'm thinking of you.

Saeglopur (In Da Club Edit) - Sigur Ros

Bonus: because this one is beautiful too...

Anorak Christmas (Anoraak's Christmas Remix) - Sally Shapiro

Merry Holidays

I have spend the last two nights enjoying myself. It's a good thing to do. Last night I went to an exclusive party for the economics students at dauphine. Don't really know how I got invited; I think it involved someone bailing out at the last minute and me buying their ticket on tuesday in class. Anyway, it was mediocre since I only knew one person...but it was a learning experience for sure. I'm really glad I went. Right after (when everyone else was leaving to go home) I set out to go to Queen which is a nightclub on the Champs. I went with two good friends and their other friend that was a dude. Kinda expensive at 20 euros entry fee but it was well worth it. Good DJs that played good sets (with the exception of some weird rock thrown in there). Left at about 3:30. Tonight I went to a christmas party at my friend lynn's place out in nanterre. It was fun and since it was a white elephant party (which didn't involve joke gifts), I ended up with a carnivourous plant. Awesome! (really)

Anyway, it's been pretty fun. I realized that I'm antisexual at least for the time which is cool. (And it's not asexuality, halie) I'm not neccesarily against all forms of sexuality, I just don't think that I'm good with it for now maybe forever (and the whole not thinking anything good comes from it is pretty pertinent). But I am attracted to this song:

We Might As Well Be Strangers (DJ Shadow Remix) - Keane
(right click that one to download cause i borrowed the link from another blog)

P.S. I realized that noone is really waiting on the mix so i'll have it done in whatever time i feel like. Happy Holidays!

That's a french-ass name!

Because this song is tight I thought I'd post it.

Candy Drop - Lil Yung
Normal
Slabbed

He has the most atypical rap name ever. Not a great song but it is a fly beat and it is krunk.

Istanbul was nuts. If you want to see some photos I put up a few on facebook. Check those out.

And because I know alot of you like good hiphop rather than simply krunk hiphop I want to post a song that I put up a while ago as just a youtube vid.

Tennessee - Arrested Development

this is old but if you don't understand the title than click on this youtube link.

Beautiful Night

It's the most beautiful night i've yet experienced in Paris. Not a cloud, no wind, moon so bright you have an intense shadow, and plenty of shining stars. Incredible.
Because I hadn't heard this song in a while...
Beautiful Night - Burden Brothers

And because I just watched Dave Chapelle's Block Party...
Hip Hop - Dead Prez
And because I want to be different...
Bigger Than Hip Hop (Ghetto House Refix) - Flufftronix

I'm going to Dinde and i'm excited...

ps. You should actually check out the fluffy myspace. He's got some good stuff on there.
