Staying Busy, The Unemployed Way

Hey. So i'm in Denver and it's cool. I have a few newses to speak about and since I don't have internet chez moi I probably won't put any music on here. To be honest, I haven't downloaded anything new in over 2 weeks, which, if you know me, is extraordinary. My computer just won't find the "Free Bruegers Wifi" and I am just hiking up the hill to DCB to write stuff/check stuff. So I won't be as quick on the draw on facebook/emails because of that.

Anyway, my flight from Paris was pretty uneventful (which is always nice when traveling international). I sat by an old cowboy type and we talked and drank together throughout the flight. I was genuinely impressed that he, a single elderly man, would learn some french and go live in Paris for 3 weeks in a large apartment that he rented. Of course he had family come to visit/stay with him for a majority of the time, but that takes alot of gusto to leave everything you're comfortable with and go live in Paris for 3 weeks as a retired guy. At first, I assumed he came from oil but I quickly learned by studying the way he spoke and his mannerisms that he was just doing it big for the first time in his life. He was open to learning new stuff, and at that age, that's really rare to find out of an American especially. I always joke that I'll die by the age of 45 or 50 cause I will A) not have anything else to do at that point and B) not have kids or a wife that I'll want to stick around for, but seeing this guy's calm love for life made me rethink that proposition. Alone isn't really bad at all. There have been a few times this last week that I've been by myself and bored (especially being the internet junkie that I am), but I don't mind it. In fact, my love for being alone, which was probably grown over my stay in paris, is just another component that attracts me to people that similarly don't need to rely on others to survive.
Moving on...

In Dallas, I got home, simi-unloaded my stuff, and hung out with Jeff two nights in a row. We went out to Royce City to skate this one place that he saw from the highway (and melted doing so) but ended up finding another ditch spot that was right by the highschool and alot more fun. For some reason fs 5-0s are really easy for me and they're not for most other people. Alot of them were done on this one section of the ditch.

Later that week, I hung out with Phillip and Michael which was pretty cool. We ended up going to Frys to buy a TV for the Cherry's new house and just chilling around said house with a few cold ones. July 4th was pretty whatever, but we did have some great grill fun, (which involved me almost burning my hand off) some good brats, and a pitiful fireworks display. Armin showed up too. Good to see him. Greg had mono so he had to just sit around his house with the exception of the last night where he came and chilled with us. My not-being-in-paris-sadness was relieved quite well due to the great company down in the D.

My drive sucked, like it most often does, but I didn't fall asleep, I had a Tag-a-long Blizard from Dairy Queen, and was in two of the most violent thunder storms I've ever driven through. If you're driving through the north east corner of New Mexico on 87 during summer, be prepared for either hot, or wet. That place is mars...another planet.

I've gotten pretty settled in in Denver, gone running once, biking a few more times, and have had "board meetings" with my other unemployed counterparts.
It's good to be back, but I miss the rush, the hecticity, and the company of Paris.

Television... wait, no... Internet rules the nation

I realized that the less I have internet, the less I post/less I get music and stay updated. Kinda lame but my life depends on the internet. It's honestly like a power source. I would be bored as shit if it didn't exist which is sad.

So today I headed out to a party for a girl I talked to like twice this year at dauphine. It was in the suburbs and it ended up taking an hour and a half from door to what would have been the door. I say 'would have' because I am an asshole and forgot to save her number in my phone. So here I am in the middle of Saint-Fargeau wondering around looking at the field where a bunch of sports were taking place, walking up a street for 20 minutes without finding anything commercial, and kicking myself for being such an idiot. Not only did I let down the ONLY person at Dauphine that invited me to Anything at all, but I wasted a nice sunday afternoon on the train Not with people I like. So stupid.

Hopefully tonight will be fun. I'm going to watch the USA match in a bar with joe and kristina. I think tomorrow i'll go get faded up with joana. I need a haircut bad.

I don't have any music which kinda defy's the point of this blog, but whatever.

I'm listening to Common though. Check out the Resurrection album.

BIKE TRIP

But first....

A story.

So my landlady called yesterday to ask if she could show the apartment to some people. I said no and that I just got back from a trip and that I needed until today. So we set it for noon today. I picked up all my crap (which always takes longer than it seems like it will) and then they came up and saw the place. The girl was kinda hot but seemed mad bitchy plus she had some big acne bumps like woah. I liked her mom better.... Pause.
Anyway, she looked around said that it was "trop mignon" (or "too cute" for all you non francophones). I tried to throw in the fact that the wifi sucked a few times which caused a little chagrin with my landlady. Whatev. Going out the door she pauses and picks a wrapper for one of these out her pocket and drops it on the floor and walks out.
I almost said "hey you dropped this," but it was after they were outside the doorframe that I realized that she had just used my floor for a trash can. Littering is lame. Especially in someone's house that you don't know. Though I was a little angry, I was more astonished by her audacity. After laughing for a few minutes I felt glad that her mother didn't see her act. Seemed like the type of mother that would let her daughter walk all over her. Lame. Slapaho!

Craig David is underrated. Although this song is a little juvenile, it's still a Jam. The beat is hot and his voice is great although it's not like he has to hit alot of notes.

Bike Trip Time...

So we left last Sunday morning to Avignon. Unfortunately, Joseph Cardinal's subconscious body felt it neccessary to not wake up to an alarm and to help me, Marc, and Joe miss the train. The tickets that we had were internet tickets. This means that we printed them out after purchasing them on the internet. The only difference between an internet ticket and a ticket that was printed out on the actual ticket stub is that you click a button to have them send the tickets to you by mail. So we couldn't switch the original ticket out for a new one and just pay a small fee. We were going to have to buy new tickets (at something like 90 euros a pop). Luckily, we came across a conductor on a later train that said "oh I have an american friend, so I can make an exception for you guys." Awesome that he would do that but dumb that we even came across a situation that dumb. Thanks to the french who would create some rule like that.

We got to Avignon in the afternoon and got into the hostel/campsite depending on who you were in the group. (Joe and I stayed in the hostel. We like being clean. Also there was only one tent.) We jurled a little around the town after my chain broke a few times and caused me to be both really bummed out and really sore from biking on marc's bike and falling due to his choice to buy a 700 wheel for his frame which supports 650's. (The wheel hits the pedal. That's not good FYI) Anyway, we saw some thangs like the pope's palace and the city. We got a ton of icecream (3 cones to be exact) and then made our way back to the hostel to rest a little before the big trip the next day.

Next day we left late (of course) to go to Aix-en-Provence. We go the first 70 km or something without too much bad happening (just brian getting two flats). We found this little town that was way up on a hill. Because it was monday most everything was closed, but the boulanger was definatelly stoked that we showed up. That was probably the most business on a single group that she had had in the last 10 years. After chillin and getting some food stuffs we went on our way to find this lake that was on the map. After thinking that it was nowhere to be found, we decided to keep going up this curvy road that crossed a large wall. Well, we're all idiots cause that was the reservoir for the dam that we were looking directly at. We chilled for a while and napped and I put sunscreen in joe's eye and Brian swam illegaly in the lake and got told off by the people who take care of the lake. Then Leo's front backpack got stolen. Rad. It was also hella dumb on the part of the theifs cause all it had was clothes. The important stuff was the stuff that was tied up with bungies (who woulda thunk that we would secure the expensive stuff). Anyway that was really annoying. After our late lunch break we continued with Leos in both bad spirits and bad physical form and kept climbing up to another small city. Once we got there we were happily suprised to find that we were about to start the decent into Aix. So we did and reached proposterous speeds doing so. I think I hit 58.9 km/h which is crazy taking into consideration the 20 pounds of stuff strapped on the back of my bike.

In Aix we found the hostel, checked in and then went into town for a pint.
The next day we went into town to check it out. It was cool. We got lunch, found a Decathalon to buy white T's and a new chain for my bike, relaxed in a park, and saw the sites. That night we got cleaned up and were thinking about heading into town but decided to just jurl at the hostel. So I went out with Joe to get food and drink and came back to the picknick table outside where everyone was hanging. I put my messenger bag down. I went back in with everyone else after a few hours. I woke up to an annoyingly loud mower outside. I started to pack up my stuff. Realized that I didn't know where was my bag was. Outside! NO! Went outside and found it in probably 20 pieces. My passport was ripped up but luckily my wallet and carte de sejour was intact. Dumb.

We left to go to Marseille (late again) and got to the hostel after having a kabab by the old port of the city. We then went carrefour to get food then came back to the hostel. The next day we got up later than normal (so like 9) and got ourselves together slowly and then set out to go to Cassis. Unfortunately, the coastal road doesn't go all the way there. So we passed some cliffs that people were jumping off and continued down the road. It wasn't more than 5 minutes later that I was rammed by a jovial not-paying-attention-to-anything Brian. He did not manage to knock me over (cause I'm raw like that) but he did manage to land on his naked back and slide for a few feet annihilating his skin. Seen by some bar owner and his friend, Brian was treated by the pharmacist down the road that was friends of theirs. After a half hour and alot of man power to try to position Brian's front wheel into a ridable form, we left and decided to scrap the trip to Cassis for the next day and go jump off some cliffs. So we did. It was awesome though I couldn't get up the courage to do a gainer. It's been a while. We came back to the hostel, went to LIDL to pick up a 5 liter keg of beer that we had earlier stashed in the back section of the frozen food shelf. We had a fun night at the hostel talking with this cool dude Anthony Orso. For those of you that know Will Sawyer, he is pretty much the same person. Same build, same haircut, same interests for the most part, and same style. It was actually really weird. He told us all about Detroit, NYC, being in architecture school, working for a designer jewler, and travelling europe by himself on a bike.

Next day, we invited Anthony to come with us to Cassis. He had said he was going there anyway and we figured that we could just ride together. So we climb this mountain and Marc and Anthony stop off at the hostel which was near the top of the mountain. I continued cause I had forgotten they were going to stop and then waited for Joe and Brian at the bottom of the hill. They showed up, told me Marc had chilled with Anthony for a few seconds and was going to meet us later. So we go get food, start to eat it and wait for Marcus. Hour 15 later he shows up and we get our beach on. That beach was the single most ridiculous assembly of fine girls I have ever seen. 90% were at least 7s. Retarded. We jurled there, Joe and Brian took skeezy photos of all the girls on the beach, then we gathered our things so we could get back into Marseille in time to make the train and hopefully see the Notre Dame de Garde. I booked it up the hill and unfortunately missed the turn off to the hostel so I didn't get to say bye to Anthony. Kinda bummed about that cause he was cool.
Oh well, we get to the top and because Joe has a flat he goes down to video us coming down the hill fast.
We make it into the city, take showers, and then head to the train station. We dismantle the bikes and get stuff ready to get on the train. I don't want to really get into it but Marc somehow misses the train and we leave without him and have to take care of his stuff when we get back to Paris.

Overall, it was a fantastic trip. Plenty of jurling, plenty of white T's, alot of FILTF, and relaxing beach time. I'm really glad with how it went.

Here's the bike route from Marseille to Cassis for Colin or whoever else rides. I enjoyed doing that in my 46-17 gear ratio of 2.7. I can't wait to build a geared bike so I can handle mountains like I handle a pint of Ben and Jerry's. Eat em up.

I was singing this song without knowing the words and without hearing it for at least a year on the bike trip. I spent about 5 minutes trying to find it and realized it was Janet sampling America. It's a great song and I think you'll like it if you don't hate Jesus.

ENJOI!!!

Another dump on your face post

I have alot to say and alot of music to share. Sure it's all been done (posted by someone else) before, but it's absolutely fantastic stuff.

To start off, I'll throw on some Kool & The Gang with a remixed version (by laZEBRA) of their

Song 1: Be My Lady (laZEBRA remix)

It's a 70's track with a funky electronic beat. Fun song.

Story 1:

Sunday don't remember what I did that was exciting besides a little night ride, so I'll go to Monday. We said adios to Carrie at her place after I had taken my last final exam. It was kinda weird seeing people for the last time. I said that I was ready to go back really soon, but I realize after seeing other people leave that I don't in actuality. Maybe it's just fear of liking Denver less after living in one of the coolest cities in the world. I don't know for sure, but I'm slowly realizing that the 12 days I have left in Paris are going to blow by super fast. Writing about it is actually giving me that nervous feeling in my stomach. Pause.
For the final exam, I got lucky that he was understanding. I got an 11 which I thought was better than the 10 I felt I deserved. It was pretty cool to just talk to him a little after the exam was done. I couldn't express myself fully but I was able to have the chance to tell him I really liked the course. Which I did. Because it was history. I'm pretty entertained/intrigued by history whenever I have a chance to be exposed to it, so I was a happy camper.

Song 2: La La La - LMFAO

I love the part at the end where the beat breaks and then drops again without the extra beat at the end of the measure. It sounds so tight to combine a kinda standard pop-y hiphop beat with a electronic-based song. That 1, 2&1/2, bass hit with that (loose snare?) smack on 3 is always going to be tight when it's not played out by being used for a whole song.

Story 2:

On tuesday, we said bye to Will. That one was fine for me thought cause I know I'll see him at DU. That woulda been cool to do the rooming arrangement we talked about one of the first few times me, marc, and will hung out in Paris. I guess I messed that up cause I found a place with colin but whatev. Probably wouldn'tve worked out anyway. They started out at a cool bar called Les Etages which I didn't make it to. Somehow I'm always late. Oh right I was filling out the shipping forms for my stuff. Anyway, I met up with them at a falafel place which was a little bit to rich for my blood (as in I didn't want to spend 7 euros on a falafel) so I just chilled with some fries and then went with them to the next bar called La Perle. It wasn't as amazing as Will had made it out to be, but it was still a fun time. There was a good mix of people there and there beers (at 6 euros a pint) weren't too much. Except that 6 euro pint was Heineken and they had 2 other choices total. It seemed strange that a bar would have so few choices but whatev I guess they knew their clientel enough that they weren't trying to impress anyone with selection. Regardless, it was cool to see Will again and meet some cool Austrailians. I would like to go to Australia sometime in my life. And with that...

Song 3: I Got You Dancing (Jack Beats Remix) - Lady Sovereign

The dub part is kinda lame. Actually it's really lame, but the snippets of the song that aren't are really sick. I guess if you like dubstep ALOT, it's not dub enough and if you don't like it at all, it's too much. Like always, my problem with dubstep is that it just doesn't work with the song. Same here, but you gotta get this one for the sample of Hero by Nas at 2:48 that continues for a while. SO SICK. Off topic a little, Polo Da Don murdered that beat. So thanks to him for making a sick track. Go listen to the Nas song on Youtube or something. I guess that makes me a hero.

Story 3:

I'll start this off by saying that if you are Ever in Paris, visit Bootlegger. Please. If you like good beer and nice people this is the place to go to get both.
Alright, well me, joe, and marc got invited to a party that Christian (the owner) put on in the Huge basement under his store. I got there a little late, but enjoyed it anyway. He had La Chouffe on tap -which isn't even one of my favorites - and it was so much better than the crap that normal parties have. It was essentially a crazy family reunion. There were mostly older people around (older being around 40 to 60) but it was still awesome because we had some good beer foods like rillette (which is a type of pate kinda stuff made out of porc. Actually now that I think about it, it looked like tunafish that you get in a can. But it was alot better.)

So it was a great night until my group in one of my french business classes called and said that they needed my part of the project. UM....Really? I hadn't heard anything from them for nearly 2 weeks and apparently I was supposed to just do a whole part by myself and have it be really good and have it done by that night. Thanks for the early notice. Joe said I should just ignore it, but being the good guy I am, I talked to Mathieu and went home early and emailed him what I had. Mathieu, if you're reading this, I'm so thankful that you did a little work on it for me and then handed that in with the rest of the stuff. I was in no state to pull an all-nighter on a project that I didn't understand fully. Thanks man.

Song 4: I'm Hot ft. M.I.A. - Tinie Tempah

Lame rap name, mate. Lame. But the rest of the public will like it cause they'll think it's clever. That being said, I wish they played this kinda popular rap stuff in the US. I like the beat but the nearly 30 second Creepy-ass intro isn't my favorite.

Story 4:

After being left with Brian on the Thursday night ride (which actually turned out to be as good as with the group if not better), I wanted to do another ride. I mean I kinda did and kinda didn't. As I did about 100 km on Thursday, I was pretty burned out on riding, but after me and Kaitlin chilled in the Parc Floral for the afternoon, I went over to Marc's and made some pizza and brought Ben & Jerrys Phish Food (which is a flavor I hadn't yet been able to find here at stores). I ate pretty fast cause I had to run and then I bounced over to Palais Royal to meet up with what I thought would be maybe 5 or 6 guys.
Well it turned out that it was just me and Nico, but it might have even been better that way. I'm a real fan of this dude. He's just super pumped on life. I'll give you a quick description.
He's like 5'4" with dreds and has headphones allways on his head. He's got a turquoise bike that has chopped bars that can't be more than 6 inches on either side.
Anyway, we rode at about an average of 30 km/h for the first 10 km that we did to port de st. cloud and damn i re-learned how to fly. If you've never biked through traffic just passing people that are still moving at like 30 mph, you gotta. Best feeling ever. It's like blasting through Schoolmarm at keystone when it's busy and you're just flying over everything and by everyone. That was the best feeling i've had in probably 3 months. Anyway, I got to practice my french and talk about some real stuff that i've never really talked about using french. Which was cool, but difficult when you're biking as well. But it was a fantastic ride. Shout out to Nico and his wife.

Song 5: Night & Day - Lloyd

Here's the youtube for now. I don't want to get the whole entry deleted by the dicks in the music industry.
Jim Jonsin is a weird ass dude that is slept on. He did Damn It Man and some others that I really like. Get this album when it comes out! I probably will. This is a good first single. Thanks to Joe for this one.
(Also, if you want the song in pretty good quality just get at me on facebook or email or something and I'll email it or something.)

So we're leaving for our bike trip tomorrow and I'm excited. It should be a great time.

Hear the middleweights hummin...

Ted

BONUS: A song that I really like by a band that I just found: Cassettes Won't Listen.

L0LLER$KAT3S!

Sorry for the long drought again. At least it's a little better than Colin. Zing! I have this theory that I want to tell you about. It's called the I-know-why-that-song-was-written Theory. I figure that if you can read, you can figure out what this theory pertains to.

Song 1: I Hate Everything About You - Three Days Grace

Little known fact is that this song was written about the relationship between a young man named J
oe and an old ass man named Assis. They have conflicting interests that are both found throughout the song and show their anti-love for each other.
I'll just go through the lyrics and provide examples...

"Every time we lie awake
After every hit we take
Every feeling that I get
But I haven't missed you yet"

This is about the kitchen incident, or as it has been recently dubbed "the fridge affair." Joe said that after said incident, he couldn't sleep for thinking about how much he "detested Assis." Assis was unavailable for comment, but his publicist said that he has spent many nights disrupted by Joe's women-beating tactics even through the floor and 3 door difference between the room that Joe likes to party in (that of his friend Marc) and the room in which Assis "slays" well as "handling meat products to pay his rent". The feeling that both share are those of resentment and utter disgust. Both could not be bothered to try and enjoy each other's company from the first time they met. The sentiment of hate is felt through the poetic words of Three Days Grace:

"
I hate everything about you"

Song 2: Y Control - Yeah Yeah Yeahs

This song is about the lost love of the owner of my building and his wife.

"
oh so while your growing old
under the gun gun gun
and i believe them all"

The old man is getting older and believing everything he hears about death. So he's grumpy as shit! He's under the pressure of thinking about death and facing it without a woman in his life. He was heard saying "Gros sac a vin. Je deteste ma femme," which was both timely (as his wife was wearing a dark maroon dress and a light tan hat made of cork) and eloquent (as it rhymed).

i wish i could buy back
the woman you stole"

Even though he's very very wealthy, he has to take out his problems on small renters of studios by making them carry their bike up 6 flights of stairs. His wife Must have been boarded by a deamon that has eaten her soul, disallowed her to say hello to nice young men named Theo, and caused her husband to live in constant sorrow.
Both of them need to be Y controlled as I am the

"poor little baby
cause well i believe them all"

I'll probably have a new theory-gratifying song every time I do an entry.

I went to Normandie today. I was under the impression it was going to suck quite a bit as I woke up (at 8:15 uuuuhhhhh) and it was sprinkling. However, when we got to the beach (not the one Obama was at because the traffic and roads being blocked made that essentially impossible) it was probably 70 degrees and sunny. We enjoyed a nice little picnic and chilled for 3 or so hours. Then we went to Honfleur. If you have the chace to go there, do it. It's a really charming little town that is full of small stores that sell things like cidre and calvados and other good stuff. I'll most likely be tagged in some pictures on Facebook, so you can look for those in the coming days. I also took a few with my camera phone, but I'm never sure how they're going to come out. Whatever, i'll probably put those up anyway after my test on Monday.

Yes I'm scared. Doing a 10 min oral in french after having 30 min to prepare? Peu importe, I'll just do the damn thang.

Speaking of which, I did another song the other day. I like these lines by Juelz Santana and I love the song by Joker, Snake Eater, so I put them together. It's a low budget TK production, but you might enjoy it anyway.

SnakeSet - Juelz vs Joker

Hope you enjoy that. If not, that's fine. I'm in a not caring mood. Later.

@ Dauphine

Hey ever-y-body.

I just finished with my FLE5 final and I expect a 50% (which is still passing mind you). I'm satisfied with that. Maybe I've become a worse student, maybe not, either way I don't really care.

I don't like typing on these damn keyboards though... really annoying.

The library is completely full, which, for a school of only 2000 people or something, is pretty sad. I guess people really can't study at home or something. I know it's hard for me, but in the US I was a rare case. Anyway, the DU library, as 70's as it was, was never full. Sometimes it was hard to find a place to do group projects but I could always find a seat to study by myself.

I'm listening to the hypem.com radio station and I really like it. I would suggest it to anyone who wants a break from their music (even at 80 or so gig, i get worn out by hearing the same stuff) and when stuff like Moth Wings by Passion Pit comes on, it's that much more satisfying.

I honestly couldn't think of a way to repay Colin for putting me in the know about the hype machine. One of the best search sites ever created. I think I enjoy it more than Google (not to say that it's more utile but still)

Random adjouted song: Katy Perry - Waking Up In Vegas (Calvin Harris Remix)
God that's so fucking pop. Excellent. Another kudo goes to Katy Perry who wrote at least some of that (she gets the first credit on the wiki page about the song). And a kudo point goes to C Harris for turning what has a Carrie Underwood feel into a JAM.
It kinda sounds like an exam schedule too: "information overload, situation lost control." Cool.

I'm really pumped for this bike trip that we're taking, but honestly, I'm fine with just doing it me and Joe if I don't get my way with the trip plans. I'm Way okay with being a selfish brat on this one. I don't want it to be a bike tour trip. I just want to go to a cool location with my new best friend, my nameless bike. I haven't given her a name yet cause I don't feel that the time is right. I really only say her cause I don't want to have "riding [insert guy's name]" as one of my current interests listed on facebook. With all the current sexual orientation changes occuring in this beautiful city of love, I don't want anyone to get the wrong idea.

Speaking on the girl situation though... my inability to let myself be attracted by females has reached a deplorable state. So I can no longer say that I am anti-sexual only that I am uninterested. This mexican girl mariana in my fle5 class really got me excited the other day. I haven't felt anything flirting with someone for a really long time and last class I wrote something roughly translated as "Hey you're inhaling that chocolate... Take it easy."
The fact of the matter was that she was eating her dark chocolate at an unholy-ly slow pace and I was being sarcastic, but she answered with the perfectly crafted response of "Sometimes good things come in small doses."
To understand why that was awesome, it is first important to know that she's probably 5 foot 2 & 100 pounds. And the smile she gave me today was an indicator that she meant what I had assumed she meant. Cool.
It's just really strange to think that her, along with the absolutely ridiculous number of beautiful women at Dauphine, I won't ever see again. With her it's after today most likely and to be honest, I probably couldn't have made anything happen anyway. Besides, what was it that I would have made happen? Exactly...nothing.

Sometimes it seems like life is too short/transient to Ever have the time and occasion to make anything happen. I don't know when I'll ever be ready to try out romance, but I have a feeling that I just might never get to it.

Tant pis
(not like cat piss)

Now to go check if it's still raining. I forgot my rain guard today cause I didn't need it this morning. I don't want to take the train home but I might have to cause I'm not about to ruin a shirt with street oil and rain water.

"Get up and shake the glitter off your clothes now..."

Yet Another Rant

Start song (cause a start song is better than an end song)

RJD2 - Chicken-Bone Circuit
This reminds me of Shadow a little bit because of the erratic drums

You know what I don't like?
I'll tell you.

Drunk people that get mad at you for getting real with them.

If you're drunk don't be a dick. This goes for males and females.

I'll give an example I encountered tonight cause the person involved won't ever read this.
So we were walking and Person Q falls down. Just strait up falls on the ground. Q gets a cut on Q's hand and is bleeding mildly. After a few minutes Q asks to ride my bike. I say no and that I don't want Q to get a case of stigmata-look. This upsets Q as Q really wanted to try out my bike. That is okay with me. Q is of course cursing me out while walking behind me and another person with whom I am trying to converse. I ignore that. It pisses me off, but I can take something stupid like that. That's an okay angry drunk. However, when Q decides about 2 minutes later that Q is going to run over and try to push me with Q's somewhat bleeding hand I start to get real. I just bought an In4mation shirt. It's this one that I posted a while ago. I really really like this shirt. That being the case, I'm not about to get blood on it. So I ignore the few fake I'm-touching-your-face-with-my-AIDS-hand-haha swipes. Then I manage to dodge one attempt at my face that actually seems like it's intended to touch me. I've just about had enough of Q's shit. Q then proceeds to come at my shoulder of my shirt. Q touches me with Q's fingers but my hand grabs Q's wrist before Q can get blood on my shirt. Lucky for my shirt I have quick reflexes. I say:
"Don't touch my shirt."
Q makes another attempt
"For Real? ... Don't touch it. For Real."
I'm done with dealing with Q at this point. Q is obviously upset because Q starts saying to Q's friend "I'm just trying to blah blah blah. Blah blah blah he told me "for real." You can't say that like that to me."
At which point I nearly just leave Q and Q's other friends and go home. I had my bike anyway. Luckily, the bus showed up and they all hopped on that. Done.

By all means get drunk if you like doing that. Just don't do stupid shit that makes people pissed off at you and pretend like they're the bad guys.

Q won't remember this circumstance I'm sure, but I now have less respect for Q. That's sad, but I truely can only put up with so much.

All Things Bike

So to start it off, I just want to say that this girl is who I will marry. It's difficult to know where to start on "things that are so right about this picture."

She's on a rickshaw. Which most important component is the bike. Which is cool.
She's in India. I know cause the hindi on the sign and that's the same bike everyone has in India.
I am a plaid fiend. And it's better when it's colorful.
Flats are my favorite shoes on girls. They look fun with just about everything, they're casual, and heels are just too much.
Tats. Wrist and leg.
Sick glasses that match the shirt.
Good hair. Simple and sometimes the fake blond looks good. This is one of those cases.

Unfortunately, if you ride bikes on a normal basis, your legs will look like this when your foot is pointed down. I'm just going to pretend that she rode that around India doing humanitarian work.

Here's a fun song to enjoy:

Glass Candy - Rolling Down The Hills

So I have some stories to tell. Yesterday they both happened.

First:
I am late for leaving for class. I head out of the Musee d'Orsay courtyard into the main quai. I see this dude biking in a suit. He has hair that looks like my professor of french. Turns out that it is. Crazy. So i pass him and say hello and he tells me that I needed to go fast so i could tell the class that he would be late and not to worry. So I do. I get up there and tell the class. This is the point in the story that I would like to say I was in jeans and a short-sleeve button-up shirt. When I got up to the room I was still sweating and had to take the 10 minutes that it took the professor to show up to just be standing up cooling off. But my point is that french people don't sweat or something. He gets there still in his full suit With a tie and has like one drop of sweat on the side of his forehead. Ridiculous. That hill going up to Trocadero from the seine is no joke.

Second: Me and Joe were sitting on the side of the road right by the seine at St. Michel. He had just bought some postcards and it was nice out so we were just chilling. This girl who we think was irish came up to us and asked us where the gallway pub was. We were like...uh...no idea did you get told where it was or on what street?
no
oh okay then. well i don't know what one but my friend works up at the Highlander and it's at the next bridge. It's pretty cool. You just take the little alley-way on the left.
oh cool. i'll just check that out then. thanks.
no prob.
So we were sitting there talking for about 15 more min and Joe brings up that he thinks she's irish. and I say hum that's funny, there's an irish flag right over there. Wait. does that say Gallway pub? HAHAHA.
So this chick was facing us while talking to us and if she had just looked right about 80 degrees (which she did cause she turned that way to look where i was pointing) she would have seen it. Also, if you're from a country wouldn't you probably recognize your own flag??? DUMB.

Colin, I would like to say that I appreciate your return to the blogging community and your retreat from the twitter fad. You're ahead of the curve.
I would, however, like to do you one better and provide a better picture of a bike chick than the one you provided. In fact I have a few:
001
002
003 (it says "lucky saddle")
004 (this one is really because i can't figure out how those piercings work. piercings that go through her whole body to her back?)
005
006

So enjoy those.

Rooftime awaits. I might change it to a pretty color later.
