Are you Interested?

I don't No.

So i went to this party last night... Bangin'! and because i brought over a bottle of vodka i felt inclined to drink it. So i did that, and a marlboro red in combination with the russian drink (the theme of the party) was a lot of hot suck (i was going to provide an image link but i realized that google imaging that wasn't a good idea). So i sat down and 30 minutes and a few cups of water later i was good. Thanks to my man jeremy who helped it out and then got the most hammered drunk i've ever seen anyone...swear to god that man was on cloud 10.

Anyway, so i was just sitting around chilling with some homies on the chill room floor and across the room (which wasn't that big) one of the party thrower's friends gets my attention, "Ted." "Hey what's up?" then the weirdest series of questions and expressions i think i've ever been involved with gets asked from the dude sitting next to her. "Hey are you interested?"
"What?"
"Are you interested in her (talking about girl one)?"
"I don't know what you mean."
"Are you interested in [name] right now?"
"Uh...I don't know her that well."
"Yes but are you interested?"
"insert confused look then a hefty ignore"
So that was weird but what made it so much more strange was that [name] was sitting there with the most intense look on her face. So this dude that is asking the question is just trying to get me to answer him strait up and then [name] and another dude are just sitting there like this is the next inquisition. Blank stares. The dude asking the question was asking in english...so was something lost in the translation??? So if [name] ever gets hold of this post (which she probably won't) i'm interested in having some coffee and getting to know if i'm interested. But for real... why you letting some dude pimp you out...?(to put it harshly). whether in jest or not, wtf. or did i miss something?

anyway i guess my point is that if you're trying to get with me, don't. if you're trying to get with me and you're stunningly beautiful (as per last night), you're going to scare the hell outa me if you make that face; again, don't.

Don't Do It

We might have a late entry into the mix... lol this thing is never going to get done.
Vibe to this. South African DJ Mujava is blowing up. Rags to riches. You will enjoy.
Township Funk Original
Township Funk (Radioclit Remix)
(the only thing I don't like about this mix is the garbage that starts at 1:40)

Last of the Playlist

So I completed step one of making the STWMTGBIAC mix... It took pretty long to just organize the songs and figure out the correct bpm. Now that that's done though I can get to work. I'll set a deadline for myself of Tuesday the 23rd. So look out for it then or maybe even before that.

I'll put the rest of the songs in the 20 song playlist on here so you can get those if you want.

Skippin
Back That Azz Up
Rodeo
1976
Into The Nightlife

I'll probably use closer to 30 or so songs for the mix but that finished off the original 20 I had.

I got this from my friend Ohh Crap's blog today... It's pretty cool
This Love (Cut Copy Galactic Beach House Mix) - Maroon 5

Deadly

Might get kicked off the blog for this but I want to share the krunkness...

I will just say that these songs are by a young man that will die shortly from prometh over-dosage... you know who he is. I didn't have this album but Dan hooked it up. We'll say it's the Second out of three that have been made.

The Mob

Dollars On My Brain

"So deep down in the dirty...there lies us."

-homesick trying to find a club where I can bang to some jams and get hectic. maybe throw a snap in there...maybe get somebody to catch it when I throw it up

Taken Down

So i posted a lovely and meaningful entry last night i guess and i got an email today saying that i violated the DMCA laws. So you know what that means... time for

Theodore Thomas' Ikea Chair of Rage. (Somewhat comfortable but still furious)

Way to go record labels. You have stopped what would probably be 3 people from downloading a chris brown song that they could get any number of locations. I applaud you. This is why artists should get on cool ass labels or be independent.
Stopping illegal downloading isn't going to happen. I really like to pay for my music, so I do...most of the time. Alot of people don't. They're not ever going to get caught either. The people that understand this (not major record labels [in this case the Zomba Group]) make money from shows and gear and tv spots or whatever else. Bands love selling CD's sure, but if you're on a gay label they're going to make way more off your cd than you are.
Bottom line is that Chris Brown would probably see a penny off of my 99 cent song purchase. I couldn't share the song with anyone else though, so they'd never know to buy the album.
Whatever.

I got a Diplo song that has a really heavy bass line that you might like if you like diplo songs with really heavy bass lines and breakdowns that come at roughly 1 min 28.8 seconds. It's mediocre, it should be called Get Your Hands Up, and you'll end up hearing it in the STWMTGBIAC mix i'm sure cause I like the bass.
Ready Or Not (Diplo Vs. DJ Sega Remix)
btw, you should Really go to the myspace and listen to the "paper planes ft everyone." i Hate paper planes simply because I was over it before it became popular, but this is tight. especially the beginning. The Gorrilla Zoe verse fits really tight too.

Alright I need to get back to studying... this week is going to be Sick starting tomorrow. Club tomorrow, Party thursday, Y.T.B.D. friday, another party saturday, and brunch and Pancake Night sunday. Woo Spring Breakin it fo sho. i'm terrified of this french chick though. she drunk dialed me one night on my friends phone... irrelevant but she's so fine.

Letter To My Friends

I think I'm going to start writing unsent letters to all my homies. I realized that death is a pretty common occurrence with humans and since I can't predict when I'll go, it'd be nice to have something set up. Like a will I guess but also involving a series of letters to my friends of things that I'm too scared to say.

I love biking.... I made it back from Marc's house in a cool 28 minutes. I went an average speed of 13.26 miles per hour (or 21.347 km/h for all the unamericans. haha) It was fun and I got yelled at by a few taxi drivers. I do what I can.

Song of the Day: Letter To My Son - Bloc Party
This is a bonus track on Intimacy. So good and it reminds me of everything Autumn. Anyone will hear the guitar doing its thing, but I recommend getting your best earphones, speakers, whatever and hear Gordy go to work on that bass line... Get This and give it a try.

While you're at it, check out this and all the other Live and Intimate recordings. So good.Signs:

I've been busy so the STWMTGBIAC mix is not even close. Sorry.

Happy Turkey Day everyone!

Goompas!

Yo so I got some quick advice for all yall out there on that nutella tip. Don't get with that before bed. I tell myself frequently that nutella is crack. Takin my HEMS away from me with that thievery boulangerie combination. Crack.

Nutella Crepes....crack

Nutella Crackers....crack

Nutella Oatmeal....crack

Nutella Pancakes....crack

Nutella Whatever-you-can-throw-it-on....crack

So lesson learned. I'm hotwired like that mercedes you know yo neighbor aint bought and I'm actin a fool doin that crank that forest gump. Don't eat nutella if you want to enjoy nights of sleep and you want to feel good about yourself for the day. My man DJ Shadow was on some nutella type brain function when he made The Outsider. Scattered. I heard what will shortly be the song of the day on my ipod today and was like...who is this? I didn't get any new soft rock....?
What the hell is this?
It's the song of the day You Made It ft. Chris James - DJ Shadow

Point: Don't eat nutella if you want to maintain that hard. earned. money. stash. unless you're dj shadow and will sell a record because you made a tight ass record called endtroducing.

p.s. Enuff ft. Q-tip & Lateef - DJ Shadow
Not only is this on the same album... it's the song right after the S.o.t.D (the next song after this has E-40. really dj shadow? really)

TOO TIGHT!

Can't write shit this real. Lesson: Be kind to people.

So let's start this off with a little tale about me on the metro about a month ago. maybe less. So i was on the metro minding my business when this homie came up and asked to use my telephone. Knowing how cunning people are in paris about stealing shit i was nervous but i figured...maybe he just needs to use the phone cause he's trying to get at his homies. So i gave it to him. the thing that made me the most nervous was it was him and his friend and his friend was following us. To make it short, he made like 3 calls and sent a text and then was like "merci mon frere." (thanks my brotha.) done.

Now for tonight. So i got off the bus at Etoile and was walking to av. kleber and saw that my bus wasn't coming for a minute so since it's a short 20 min walk back to my place i just walked. bout 2 blocks down the street i got approached by a group of 3 homies. thuged out in all black parisian gear, leather jackets, hats, bandanas. They asked me for a cig and i said all i got is the packet of tabaco and papers. they were like "fuck that" and walked on. then the rest of their group came up and was like yo you got a cig. i said the same thing and they were like "whatever give me it". so i gave them the packet and i realized that homie that used my phone in the metro was there. he took the tabaco and papers and i gave him two filters and then his homie was like "yo you let him use your phone?" and i said "yea" so he asked if he could send a text. i gave him the phone and he ran off. but homie from the metro was like "Hey don't do him like that fool don't do him like that" so he came back like "nah i was joking just joking." gave my phone back to me. then this other fool, a real light skinned man in a bandana around his face and beanie (i could only see his eyes and an eyebrow piercing he had) was like "yo yount goin to call the po huh?" and i was like "uh...why would i do that?" and he said "alright then" and the guy who was the second guy that originally asked me for a cig was like... i guess it translated like "be easy." and i said "you too" and then i said later to homie from the metro. Damn!

All i can think about from this is that if i had Not let that guy use my phone i would be 40 euros, walet, plastic money, student id card, lighter, probably beanie, phone, and pass navigo (an all-use metro/bus pass) lighter than i was before they ran up on me 10 or 15 deep. i called up my man marc about 5 min after and he said he could hear the adreneline in my voice. sick.

I just want to say that if you're in that situation, don't get shook. Be good to others and you got the chance of them being good to you. the prophet Jesus (my man), along with about every other religion-founder, taught this. use it. people will like you more.

Next time though, when i see a group coming up deep i'll pull up my pants and tighten the belt though. I got some speed and if you don't think that's the best fighting tactic, you're wrong.

Songs that are good if you deal with shit sometimes or most times.
Shook Ones - Mobb Deep
Against All Odds ft. Tupac - Trae

ps. death...bump that..anyone can do that. life is so rich. live it well. be real; be good.
