Rub Dub Dub.

Get your rubber ducks out cause you're about to get washed over with some dubly bubbly.

This one's an oldie but goodie. I have liked Kaskade alot since I heard Steppin Out and this, although being dub and not prog house, is another win in my book.

I Remember (Caspa Remix)
- Kaskade & Deadmau5

I've realized that I obviously do not give enough of a shit to be closely involved with other humans. I occasionally prioritize interactions but I don't really prioritize any type of relationship when I should. Dancing by myself is often just as important as conversing with somebody. And if I haven't seen you in a while, I'll probably talk to you before I talk to the person I saw yesterday. I don't understand things that can rationally be labeled as irrational.

On another note, I've been meeting people recently that have been super cool. I've heard people talking smack about a handful of them but I've discovered nothing but good things... Example: one of the proclaimed "rich girls" of DU, who alot of people were bummed on, was really nice. She looked good and was genuinely a kind person... at least from the interaction we had last night.

Message in a Bottle (Fresh Direct Remix)
- The Police

I think i've posted this before, but it really is the freebird of dubstep. I think it rocks and it's nice and long for if you're vibin with not much to do.

Earthquake (JSaxton Remix) - Little Boots

I like this one alot. It's got a great sound and is fun to listen to. You could argue that it isn't hard enough, but you could also not argue that. Plus, who doesn't like 320.

Daydreaming (Jakwob Remix) - Kid Sister

Jakwob is killing it in the game. He makes tracks fire. Ex... Ellie Goulding Starry Eyed. You'll probably be creeped out by this track. But that's okay; after all, we're all living in a small Resident Evil style dreamscape.

Moving Parts (Jakwob Remix) - Mr Fogg

I have this pegged as downtempo dub. It's very mellow and nice on the ears. It really sounds kinda like Anoraak woulda made this their first intro into the dubstep world. It's very properly synchronized and a clean and neat dub jam.

I'm not going to post everything great I have, so I'll leave it at that.
Hope everyone enjoys.

Trackstanding with two bikes at the same time.

I've been super obsessed with Say Ahh by Trey Songs recently. So here it is. I can't post a link cause the whole post will probably be deleted by the record label bastards.

So, i would normally say listen to your mother's advice. But this time she messed up. In a modern dating world it is not okay to be hanging out with more than one person at a time. especially if the people you are hanging out with are girls. So no more of that. it was stressful anyway. i'm not a fan.

I think dance parties need to become a weekly thing. John and Nick's basement is the best place for them and everyone has a blast when they put one on. The Red Party party was super awesome as was all the other events that weekend and all of them this weekend. I've been having a good time living recently and I like being able to say that.

Other music that i've been feeling recently:

Paperazzi (Springflake Pop Orchestral Remix) - Lady Gaga
This is a kinda downtempo remix of an alternate version gaga recorded. I really like it. props to Colin who put me onto it.

Spin (Russ Chimes Big House Remix) - Cassette Kids
Russ Chimes can do no wrong in my book. The synth lines he comes up with always fit the song perfectly and this is no exception. This one is probably even bumpin enough to play at a party. I would be so excited if someone came up to me and said, "Let me spin a little record for you baby," with that attitude.

Mouthful of Diamonds - Phantogram
A fun ethereal electronic jam. You'll probably like its mellowness...because it's mellow.

This Momentary (LightsoverLA remix) - Delphic
Another sad/happy joint. It's pretty mellow but also haunting. I guess that's what I'm into these days.

Enjoy those. I'll post a mellow dubstep list later on in the week. I have most of them now, but these 4 are enough for tonight.
"Let me spiiiiiyannnn oh!"

BONUS
Here...I like this one too so you can have it as a +1. It's also pretty chill but is a cool take on a ratatat song you probably know and love.

Rising Sun (The Boog-A-Loo Crew Remix) ("Gettysburg" Ratatat)
- DRT

Electronic Music

Ever since I heard Digital Love in 7th grade on that ski trip in Switzerland, I have been pretty excited about electronic music. However, it isn't until recently that I think I've found a group that conveys the same feelings to me. I posted an Anoraak song last week as the bonus. But it's way more than that. It'll help you through the loneliest feeling days by making you feel comfortable in your loneliness...go figure. The power of song is really incredible. So get that one if you didn't before and I have some others to throw up here.

These are way more upbeat than Make It Better, and so naturally I like them at least equally...as i am an upbeat person in general. I hope you enjoy. And I hope you check out Anoraak. Cause they rock.

Teenage Color (Anoraak Remix) - College
Awesome instrumental.

Reborn (Anoraak Remix) - Fact
Kinda like an 80's metal song turned super pop electro. Enjoy.

And that is all i will post so you can check out Anoraak and get their shit at a store or another site. But real talk, get these songs.

Peace

MUSIC TIME PUTES!

What it do? I'm going to easter egg the hell outa this one. Just remember to hold control or apple when you click.

So I've realized that I'm one of the guiltiest feeling people ever (thats for Colin). I'm kinda bummed on that. It makes things less fun and makes my cheeks stay red all the time. I don't think I'll ever be able to enjoy something that I've been raised to think is bad. Never ever. Kinda a shame really. It's really a large part of being a human but I'm pretty sure I'll be bummed on it forever. Thanks upbringing.

Enough of that shite though. Music time...

It's going to start krunk and get awsomely mellower so if you only like mellow go down to the bottom.

Swag Surfin - Lil' Wayne

This is really tight. The flow is sick and the beat is pretty cool. You'll get buck.
"Red bone do me good then her friend assist her. I mean a bitch she never met...her best friend her sister. I leave the __ micro soft like windows vista" Dayum.

Pass the Dutch - Young Money

It may seem like I like wayne too much. Fair assessment. But he's creative and coming out with great beats too. Hate if you wanna, that's okay, but you'll probably get sucked into the beat if you listen.

What is Love - Haddaway

Night at the Roxbury. Tell me you don't want to just rollerskate and bang your head.

Starry Eyed (Monsieur Adi Remix) - Ellie Goulding

I'm pumped. I have two remixes I like already and this is a Great addition to the bunch. It's kinda tranc-y and kinda pop-y. I Love her voice.

I'm Not Your Toy (Nero Remix) - La Roux

This is a completely different type of krunk. It's deep cut dubkrunk. The energy in this is intense. You'll ask yourself, "where did the music go?" and then it will come back in and you'll vibe. But this also marks the transition into the less krunk and more mellow section.

Ride - Nappy Roots

I can't wait till 4-20 cause I'm buying this album. You should too. This song is incredible lyricism on top of a dope ass beat.

Voices Inside My Strobe (DJ Kev Bootleg) - Deadmau5

I know you like The Police and I know you like the mouse. Put them together. Like peanut butter and banana.

Change of Heart (Robyn's Rakamonie Remix) - El Perro Del Mar

This is so incredibly chill. I love it and you will too. It's kinda like you combined Cloetta Paris and the Plimsouls (the electo ones not the punk ones). Or if you don't know those two... hum... maybe like Tegan and Sara and... Hot Chip. Certainly my favorite of the whole bunch.

I hope everyone enjoys. If you find something you like, leave a comment. I'll know what to keep posting on.

As a BONUS, I'll throw up the original mix of
Make It Better - Anoraak
It's a cool song and this french group always puts in good work.

Winter Carnival

This weekend was pretty fun despite its uncertainty at first. I went up to winter carnival not knowing anyone on the bus, was surrounded by freshmen that were all extremely hungover (what are you doing with your lives?), and didn't know anyone to shread with. It all worked out somehow though. I went through the park by myself on Friday and met this dude Adam that was willing to let me sleep on his couch. Luckily i didn't need that cause I just found some freshmen that let me crash on their floor in the hotel. Still though, it was awesome to find someone that after 3 park laps would let me crash.

That night we (me and all the freshmen) went to the bar and then the hot tub. It's truly ridiculous what kind of crappy-ass fake ID will work in a mountain bar. And the hot tub was also equally ridic because they all just brought beers down and were grouped like 20 deep in a 10 person hot tub. So, I got my grown man on and went to sit in the other hot tub which had bubble jets that were working and a group of fire fighters and their wives that were getting rowdy on vacation. Much better time than sitting in that no-bubble-ass-havin hot tub with a bunch of 18 year olds.

Next day, I met up with Mary (the girl I convinced to enter the rail contest who ended up getting 2nd) and her friend Tara and we destroyed the Winter Park mountain. It was snowing the whole day and we did plenty of tree runs and had a blast. Those chikas rip. It was awesome to shread with other people who just get hyped and love riding. There was alot of hollerin on the lift and a little r-kelly serenading as well.

That night, after taking an hour long trip into town and back for drank and taco bell, I started sippin before the concert. I have to say that when you know only about 500 people in your own grade and only a handful in other grades, you feel pretty weird chillin in hotel rooms with predominantly sophomores and juniors. I did meet up with Bob Johnsen who is a longtime friend. We went to middle school together at ASP and somehow, after splitting ways, both came to DU. I never really get to hang out with him, so it was nice to party with someone i knew so long ago.
Then we went to the concert. Will opened up and, although I was really jealous of him, did a really good job I thought. He worked the crowd well and his playlist was top notch. Then Milkman came on and shut it down. I actually didn't enjoy his set all that much, but it was really good regardless.

I then went back, somehow got a spot in a bed, slept, and got a ride back to campus in a car and not on the grayhound. All in all, it was a great weekend.

It's currently snowing now and I hope it keeps it up in the mountains for the rest of the week. They sure need it.

I'm tired so no music, but I'll be back soon with some jams for everyone.

Much of nothing

I don't have much to say but I wanted to share this song. It's by edIT, whom I like alot. And it's a fantastically good vibe for a night where there is a little bit of wet snow or rain falling down from the sky. I hope you like it as much as I do.

Interior Design

Here's a song that doesn't at all fit what I'm about to write about. But you should enjoy it as I personally believe it is the new Hard Knock Life.

Although I really do think I'll have a fantastic time figuring out how I want my future apartment or house to look like, I feel like it'll probably turn out pretty empty and will probably feel a little cold and too plain. Kinda like another interior that I happen to view on a minute to minute basis. Oh well, such is life. It's alot easier to be without anything flashy to decorate my walls with. Snowboarding is occasionally flashy, so I've hung that up to cover some of the empty space. I just don't think I'm ready to hang anything with a little more substance yet.

On another note, I guess I don't understand people that want to be sought out all the time. If I need help, want attention, would like to hang out with somebody, I'll usually put the effort to, I dont' know, send them a message that says something to that extent. Sure, it's always a nice surprise to hear from somebody you haven't heard from in a while, but there's no reason to expect people to hit you up all the time. Sometimes people are busy and alot of the other times, they're pretty sure you prefer having space to figure shit out for yourself. Real talk. It seems to me that there are times when a fatherly jolt would do some good. Also a "What the hell is your problem?" isn't used enough and should be. I know I'm way too good at 'getting over it' but some people need to get better at it. A tip: what helps me is realizing that hardly anything I ever do or will do will matter at all in 100 years. Just look at it like that. How big do your problems feel now? Word to Greg who is taking an initiative on his own to get shit figured out. My thoughts are with you man.

Since I haven't posted any music in almost a month, I owe all of you (1 or 2 people) some tunes.
I've mostly been listening to krunk jams so that's what I'll post those. Yes, they are offensive, but they're too tight. Trying new tricks while being this pumped is nothing more than an unbelievable excitement.

Go Crazy - Rich Boy
listen to this with a sub if you got one. it's pretty banging.

Bedrock (freestyle) - Twista
The original song is also incredibly fun to rock to, but I'm pretty sure it'll get removed as soon as I put it up. So get that some other way and enjoy Twista's speedy delivery on this one.

Basement Party
- The Cool Kids

This is how Grant's dance party last weekend shoulda turned out. Thanks YOU

Tic Tok (Skeet Skeet Remix) - Ke$ha
So fun. I hope Will plays this at winterpark.

Twerc - Progekt Pat and Jucie J
Don't want this to get taken off (sp.) This is most certainly the most offensive of the bunch but just Try to not krump when this comes on. That's right, you can't not dance like a maniac. Just don't get too excited and end up with a noise violation from that old lady living next door when you bang out to this on a tuesday night.

So I hope everyone enjoys those.

new years

hey.

new years tonight was a learning experience for me. and although i'm planning on talking to people without some andre in my system, i know that i'll be the same as when it was. maybe it's unfortunate, maybe it's not, i don't have any clue.

i had a bunch of real talk and the only thing it did was make me feel more alienated and loved and a misfit and a cherished part of alot of people's lives. i wish i could dissapear. i'd be more than willing to be the guy that skips town to never return to make a new life, but i'm afraid that life will be Exactly the same as it is now but with a new surrounding. maybe that's why i didn't make friends in france. maybe i wasn't real enough. maybe my real wasn't acceptable. maybe it was alien to every single person who is living at this point. maybe i don't know what to do to relate to humans. maybe i just want to move to the middle of nowhere canada. maybe i'm selfish enough to do it. but maybe not.

a sad way to ring in the new years? alot to think about.

breath in. take it in deep. crush your heart it's yours to keep. wishful, i guess i never was. i am looking up now death can't change us.

i miss ian. i miss raheed. i miss what i knew about alex and shane. i wish they were able to see the new decade.
i wish i was normal for once.

The New Year - DCfC

i hope you had a fantastic holiday.
