Disenchanted.

Before I apologize, go down to the bottom and click play on the youtube video. Big ups to Joe. Didn't even know about this track. But it's catchy and the video is absurd. Absurd. Now to apologize.

Sorry Sorry Sorry.

This has been the longest time I haven't put anything up. I'll try to be more consistent. I was finishing school up, back in Dallas, moving, continuing my last class, and having a better excuse than any of that....sike. My bad.

Let's just call it a hiatus.

I actually haven't even been keeping up with new jams since the end of the snowboarding season (the end of my weekly party bus trips up to Breck with G-money, K-blizzy, R-steezy, myself, and a few others. I just got disenchanted...à la titre.

But! I have some jams regardless. Some of them are old for the blogosphere, uh, sphere... but you'll like them regardless. Trust me on that.

First off...hum. Lets start out with a song that Todd has been playing non-stop for the last month. It's a J. Cole jam. I'll be honest, I know nothing about this dude with the exception that he is somewhat affiliated with Drake. I don't care to do any research anyway. I'll just wait until he blows up and somebody plays it at a party and I hear it and look it up. So without further ado:

Higher - J. Cole

Next up... alright lets go a mix of some electronic production and a famous wayne beat. JJ is a swedish duo (and everyone loves the swedes, right) who doesn't have a myspace or any other type of website. A very few know what these chicks look like. Sick. I feel like that's a pretty romantic way of putting your art out. So check this one out. It's as mysterious as the band themselves.

My Way - JJ

And for the third-time's-the-charm song... This is the easiest thing to post since Don't Stop Dancing by Kaskade (who consequently I am seeing Saturday at Global). I was singing this outloud last night walking back from the light rail I took home from the Thrice concert. Funny enough I was jamming out when 'someone I told I would give the song to' got dropped off at her apartment. Wow I just got butterflies. We'll say it was due to the end of My Way. Still a funny coinkeedink. I don't like some of his stuff, but this is super poppy and it's a great jam (despite it's lyrics that kill it on an unrequited love tip). Kinda wish I was going Friday night to see him and the mouse. But alas, 83 more fig neutons and a bunch of friends that will be hopped up on all kinds of retarded shit doesn't sound like a good use of my money and time. If nobody was going, I mighta bought that ticket anyway. Jeeze, I'm rambling. Here's the song.

Hold On ft. Amber Coffman (of the Dirty Projectors) - Rusko

You should also check out the video he made for it here. Cool tour documentation.

Here's the youtube video I was talking about. Watch it. Oh, damn I can't embed it. Then watch it here.
Here's Rusko's video instead:

The thrice concert melted my mind. I put a photo of their set list on facebook. Check it out. I lost my voice on Silhouette. And closing on To Awake and Avenge the Dead??? I sounded like I had smoked 5 packs by the time I got home. That was the first Thrice song I had ever heard. The break down is absurd.

I'm so looking forward to global this weekend. I mean... the line-up is ridiculous. I just haven't decided who i'll see since most of the shows overlap. This'll be a tough one and a group decision. Kyle and Jason will have to put their input in.
But so far it looks like I'll be seeing BT from 6-7, Morgan Page from 9-10, Kaskade from 10-11:30, and Paul Van Dyk from 11:30-close. I would like to see Jes and LA Riots though so it might go one of those directions as well. Regardless, my mind will be in complete overload for the whole time. I'm excited. I'll probably roll there like I did at Skylab... No-Doz homies. "No drugs or alcohol so I can get the signal clear." I know y'all know that line.

So enjoy that music. I'll be back again soon. If not before Sunday, at least by then.

Peace
